The Healing Touch of Valerie Wyles, LMT

Meet Valerie Wyles, LMT, and Cortiva graduate from Colorado. Valerie has a rewarding career in massage therapy and specializes in working with adults and children with special needs. Learn more about Valerie’s journey to become a massage therapist and hear from some of her clients families below.

“I became a massage therapist because I have a son who is 22 yrs old with profound autism, a rare neurotransmitter disorder and severe global delays.  He is non-verbal, has limited sight, and limited mobility.

One day, we found ourselves looking for a massage therapist for our son and we had a hard time finding one, but we eventually found one. Many of these individuals are not able to get out for therapy let alone massage therapy, the therapist must come to them. Realizing how difficult it was to find a traveling therapist for our IDD population (Intellectual Developmental Disabilities), it became evident that I needed to do something, so I did.

I decided to go to school to become a massage therapist and help as many people as I could.  Now going to school at the age of 45 was very concerning to me because I didn’t know if I had it in me, but my intentions of becoming a massage therapist pushed me through!

So here we are today, I am an approved agency through the state of Colorado, I provide massage therapy to individuals who receive medicaid funds. I work for several wonderful families. What my family’s love about me is that I can relate to their lifestyle and I understand when the client is having a meltdown. I am there to help and listen to the families.”

Valerie’s dedication to her clients is remarkable. Hear what some of them have to say about their experience working with Valerie and their experience with her massage therapy specialization:

Massage therapy has made a huge difference in Marissa’s life. Because of the treatment that Valerie provides, Marissa has less pain, increased mobility, better overall health, and she’s so much more content. We are so grateful that pediatric massage therapy is an option for us.”

“Kinnick enjoys getting a massage and he looks forward to it every week! Valerie is very gentle, kind and works so well with Kinnick. Massage has helped him to relieve stress on his muscles and calm his body. We are so grateful for Mrs. Massage!”

“Valerie has been working with my autistic son for over a year and the connection they have is unreal! We have had other massage therapists work with our son in the past, but the excitement and joy I see in his eyes when I tell him she is coming truly speaks to her love, patience and gentle touch. I cherish our time with her every week and I know that her time is erasing all the anxiety and stress he had built up during the week. We truly found a gem and are blessed.”

“Valerie is a dedicated professional.  She takes the time to get to know the whole person. We appreciate that she uses many modalities. Our daughter can’t wait for her massage. It really helps her muscle tension and tightness. We appreciate you Valerie!”
