Who are Massage Therapists?

Massage Therapists are licensed bodyworkers. As licensed professionals in massage, their most popular skill set is to heal with the power of touch. They use a variety of modalities (types of massage) and touch techniques to manipulate their client's overall health and wellness, focusing on their soft tissues, like the muscles.

When working in the service industry, massage therapists will perform a wide variety of tasks like:

  • Conduct in-depth client consultations, covering aches, medical history, and desired results from treatment sessions

  • Analyze and evaluate the client's body and touch-response to identify pain points and areas of tension

  • Use lotion or oils with a massage modality needed for the client's desired results

  • Prescribe treatment plans through multiple massages sessions

  • Reccomend home regimens for maintenance of results

    • Stretch Position | Aromatherapy | Posture Correction | Breathing Exercise

Massage Therapists are in a wide variety of settings in health and wellness. They can choose to work independently out of treatment rooms or travel to their clients. In addition, they can work for sporting teams or alongside health practitioners for patients in need of post-surgical care or rehabilitation.
