Iris came to both massage therapy and teaching through very personal experiences. During her childhood, she massaged her mother’s shoulders, relieving the pain of juvenile arthritis and seeing how massage helped someone feeling intense pain. Also as a child, Iris’s sister experienced carbon monoxide poisoning that lead to brain damage. By tutoring her sister, Iris learned to love teaching. As a result, she finds it natural to work with students as a teacher of massage.
